A record-breaking $388,550 was raised for the 37th annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Telethon for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
Over the course of the week, June 7-10, funds were raised for lifesaving equipment, patient programs, and pediatric research for the hospital, which treats more than 100,000 children every year.
As a part of Universal Media-Analytics overarching 2021 Miracle Child Champion sponsorship, UMI proudly served as the Telethon t-shirt sponsor. The t-shirt, which was designed by 2021 Miracle Child Champion, Joella of Lewisberry, was provided to donors who made a $35 per month gift or a $420 one-time gift.
Funds for the Telethon were raised through a pre-event mailing, online donations, and support from sponsors. News coverage and commercial inventory showcased Miracle Child stories throughout the week on WGAL 8. The Telethon concluded with an hour-long special on Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m.
“As the Telethon t-shirt sponsor, we invited our team at UMI the opportunity to showcase the incredible generosity we possess to our associates and clients,” said Ann Shields, Chief Customer Officer.
